Sadly, I had a perfect view of the ceremony from my window. [Name] looked so beautiful in her silvery dress, holding her flowers, walking gracefully up and down the aisle. I had meant to tell her how I felt earlier, but that damned woman interrupted me. I wished I could be with her, out of this cage. After the ceremony, night took over. Everyone ate, drank, and was merry. The dancing was something to behold, indeed. [Name] was a lovely dancer, as well. Her lovely smile decorated her face during most of the party. Sometimes, though, she would look down and away, eyes becoming sad. But, it would be cured when she would get up to dance again. The fireplace lit up in my room, washing me with some warmth. I looked at it for only a second. When I looked back through my window, [name] was gone.
"Hey," you said happily as you walked into Loki's room.
"Hello, [name]," Loki replied.
You held up the two small plates in your hands.
"I brought cake," you giggled.
"Ah, I've been waiting to try this."
The two of you sat by the window. Loki took a bite of cake.
"This is, how did you say it? Awesome," Loki said, smiling.
"Right? You can't go wrong with cake."
The two of you ate happily together.
"How was the party?" Loki asked.
"It was fun. The food was great, so was the music. I even caught the bouquet."
"It was lacking in one area, though."
"I didn't get to dance with you."
Loki's heart skipped a beat, as did yours. You looked up at him with your big [e/c] eyes. He looked intently into your eyes. Then, he smiled a warm, inviting smile.
"Well, it seems the musicians are still playing," he said, standing up.
Loki offered you his hand. You took it eagerly. You stood and Loki spun you around, catching you and pulling you close. One hand held yours, the other rested on the small of your back. You swayed back and forth for a while. You both laughed. You rested your head on Loki's chest, feeling right at home. At that moment, everything was perfect. You could feel Loki grin against the top of your head. Then, the music ended.
" Loki said, voice trembling.
You looked up at him again. His verdant eyes hypnotized you. You waited nervously for whatever he had to say.
"Something has happened to me. Something that I never thought could happen," he said quietly.
"What is it?" your tone held worry.
"You see, you've been so kind to me. I love it when I see you and I hate it when you leave. You intrigue me and frighten me all at once."
It was as if Loki took the thoughts right out of your head and recited them to you.
"[Name], I think
I may be falling for you."
You looked up at Loki, astonished.
"I do not understand these feelings. I've never experienced them before. Before I met you, I lived in shame. But now that I've met you
You make me feel alive again, [name]. I must know your feelings for me."
You felt tears of joy welling up in your eyes.
I might be falling in love with you, too," you replied.
Tears welled up in Loki's eyes as well. A single tear escaped his eye as he let out a relieved laugh. He picked you up by the waist and locked his lips to yours. It was unexpected, but you loved it. His lips were gentle but firm against yours. You wrapped your fingers in his raven hair. Your heart fluttered in your chest. Loki couldn't possibly know how happy he'd made you feel. You continued to kiss as Loki set you down. He wrapped his arms around you. His lips parted ever so slightly. You took it as an invitation directed to your tongue. Loki's hold on you tightened as you slipped your tongue into his mouth. You grinned into the kiss. After a little while, you and Loki reluctantly stopped kissing.
"Let's not go too crazy just yet," you whispered.
"Agreed," Loki laughed.
You yawned unwittingly. Loki smiled down at you.
"You should get to bed, dear [name]. As should I."
"Mmm, I guess so."
Loki walked you to the door, giving you another passionate kiss before you left.
"Goodnight, love," you whispered.
"Goodnight, my princess."
